IOWA CITY, Iowa --- The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf is in 10th-place after 36 holes of the Diane Thomason Invitational at Finkbine Golf Course. UTC shot 320 and 307 for a total of 627 to trail ninth-place Kansas State (621) by six.
Jordan Britt (Chattanooga) paced the Mocs effort with rounds of 77 and 78 for a total of 155. She's two clear of Emily McLennan (Queensland, Australia) who shot 157. McLennan had the low round of the day for the squad with a 73 (+1) for her second 18.
Agathe Sauzon (Valence, France) is next up at 158. She is followed by Isabella Loza (Bucaramanga, Colombia) and Porsche Campbell (Vancouver, Canada) at 162 and 166, respectively. Mette Kryger (Nivaa, Denmark) played as an individual carding 75 and 79 for 154.
Illinois owns the team lead at 600. Kansas is second at 601 with GRU Augusta (formerly Augusta State) in third at 603. The Fighting Illini's Stephanie Miller is the individual leader at even par (144). Augusta's Jessica Haigwood and Josefine Nyqvist are tied for second at plus three (147).
The final round starts at 9:30 a.m., Eastern time. Chattanooga plays with Michigan and USF, its partners for today's 36 holes. The Mocs topped USF by eight and the Wolverines by 13. Tomorrow's groups begin on holes 12-15 in the shotgun start.
