On going small to start the comeback:
"We went big in Knoxville and went small tonight.  We have an interchangeable team.  We are adjusting on the fly to not having Chelsey and getting some type of rhythm and cohesion.  We will do it by committee.  Hopefully we will get some rhythm and cohesion." 

"It is part of the process and it is more that they have to figure it out.  AC can shoot the ball.  We know as a team that she can shoot the ball.  She really needs to work on the defensive concepts and feeding the post.  You saw her at her greatest strength and you saw some things she needed to work on. 

"Molly comes in the game, and the wings have to help her.  She has been injured and she has only practiced two or three days.  Without Chelsey she has to be ready. All of the players have to help her in just stepping up and assuming that responsibility. 

"We don't have a real vocal person.   Taylor Hall two years ago and Ka'Vonne last year, that is a missing element with this group. Red needs to project a little bit more as a veteran player and talk a little bit more.  Ari is good at it."

On the play of Keiana Gilbert:
"She is a talented player and she is probably the only player we have who can create her own.  That's what she did.  She went out and created an opportunity for herself.  That is something that we need her to do on a continual basis. 

"You look down and she is 7-for-7 and my thoughts would be that I would rather see her take about 15-18 shots.  That is not her personality.  She just has to go through a little personality change and she will be fine." 

On the play in the post off the bench:
"They helped.  You look back in a game like this, how big was Sydney's basket at the end of the half.  You don't see it when it happens, but it matters."

On the comebacks the last two games:
"I think that we fight, and we are competitive.  We need to continue to do that and grow.  We need to cut out some of these silly turnovers and be a better basketball team in certain aspects.  We come out in the second half and shoot 56%, and except for that blip for about three minutes with the three, I thought we did a good defensive job." 

Are turnovers a concern:
"We will watch the film, but that might be a part of who we are.  As long as we are winning games.  We had the luxury last year of starting three point guards.  We started this year starting two point guards and now we are down to one.  The other folks are going to have to understand their responsibility when it comes to making decisions and slow down a little."


Keiana Gilbert
On hitting the game winner
"I feel like the play just broke down and I saw the ball coming my way so I just picked it up and saw I had an open lane and just shot it off the back board and it went in. I usually just try to just make it and it bounces around the rim and doesn't go in. Coach [Foster] has been telling me to use the back board more because you have more room for error."
 
On Arkansas State's Aundrea Gamble with the final shot
"I was guarding her and I didn't want to commit a foul so they could go to the line so I just tried not to foul and hoped that she didn't make it."
 
On the final play without Chelsey Shumpert and Alicia Payne on the floor
"I was the point guard them. I don't really run the point for out of bounds plays. I was just trying to get open and got the shot off."

"We had to change our defense up. We tried not to get frustrated. Just like Tennessee when we were down. The thing about us I like is that we come back and we fight. We don't put our heads down. We've got more to work on our communication."

"In practice that's all she does. If I drive and kick it to her 85 percent is going to go in. On a good day then 99 percent, on a regular day 85 percent."
 
On the Mocs having to grind it out in the last three games
"We're trying to find ourselves. Last year we were more of a 3-point shooting team but now without our shooters we are trying to find out who we are. That's when we have to work together. We depend on our defense. Keeping our head up."
