The Mocs will host Kennesaw State in the season opener for both teams Friday night at Finley Stadium. The game is set to kick off at 7 p.m. The South Gate will be open for fans at 6 Â p.m. and concessions will be available during the game.
Scouting the Mocs
Chattanooga went 1-0-1 in preseason play with a 1-1 tie at Tennessee Tech to open play and a 2-0 win over Belmont. Freshman

Martyn Blankley as well as voluteer assistants Hermant Sharma and
Gerry Armbruster. Sharma will work with UTC's keepers. The Mocs finished eighth in the SoCon last year with a 4-12-3 overall record and a 2-6-1 league mark.
Scouting the Owls
Kennesaw State is picked to finish fifth in the Atlantic Sun and placed redshirt senior Brittney Reed on the preseason all-conference team. The Owls return 14 players from last year's squad that tied for fourth in the ASUN with a 3-3-1 record and add 11 newcomers to the roster. Head coach Benji Walton is in his first season at Kennesaw State and has an overall record of 97-80-10 in 10 previous seasons of coaching.
