DECATUR, Ga. --- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's soccer team fell 2-1 Friday night at Georgia State in non-conference action.

The loss snapped the Mocs' four-game unbeaten streak that started the season. UTC is now 3-1-1. Georgia State is now 3-2 with a three-game win streak.

Senior
Bailey Gale scored the Mocs goal in the match connecting on a shot in the 72
nd minute for her first this season. Junior
Chloe Arnold sent a shot in from the right that was knocked away by GSU keeper Kendra Clarke but not gathered in. Gale picked it up on the far post and cut the Panther lead in half.

Chattanooga continued to push offensively the rest of the way but couldn't find the net.

Both teams had just three shots in the first half and went into the break scoreless. Georgia State had the lone shot on goal in the frame with UTC's
Ashton Shields making a save.

The Panthers edged the Mocs 11-10 on shots and each team had a corner. Arnold had three shots on the night with two on goal. Gale,
Hollie Massey and
Maggie Shaw each had two shots in the match and the Mocs had four shots on goal.

Georgia Southern scored the first goal of the game in the 60
th minute for her second of the year. Jimena Cabrera, also with her second score this season, put home what would become the game winner in the 69
th minute, heading home a free kick on the far side.

Chattanooga returns home for a Sunday tilt against Alabama. The match is slated for a 1:00 p.m. kick off at the UTC Sports Complex. It's Youth Soccer Sunday. Members of the Redoubt Soccer Association will walk out with the teams, have a halftime recognition, games and an autograph session following the match.
