CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga women's soccer team continued its dominant home form with a commanding 3-0 victory over VMI on Sunday afternoon at Finley Stadium. The win keeps the Mocs unbeaten at home this season and improves their overall record to 9-4-4 and 3-2-3 in Southern Conference play.

Freshman
Quinn Johnson led the charge with her first career brace, scoring in both halves to give Chattanooga a comfortable lead. Johnson opened the scoring in the fifth minute and added her second in the 53rd minute.

She took the ball from VMI on the UTC half of the field and charged to the goal for her first of the match. The second came on a follow when
Caroline Richvalsky's shot was turned away but not gathered in to make it 2-0.

Senior keeper
Caroline Ekern recorded her 20th career clean sheet and 32
nd win, making one save and anchoring a defense that allowed just two shots all match. The shutout marks her sixth of the season and further solidifies her place in the Mocs record books.

Clarissa Salinas capped off the scoring in the 82nd minute, converting a penalty kick to seal the win.

Chattanooga outshot VMI 20-2 and held a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks, showcasing their dominance on both ends of the pitch. Johnson and
Paige Thomas led UTC with four shots each and Richvaslky added three.

The Mocs close out the regular season next Sunday on the road at Western Carolina. The Cats are sitting in second place in the SoCon standings behind Samford who secured at least a share of the conference title with their win over ETSU today.
