Men’s Basketball’s Cusano and Keeslar Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

The Chattanooga Mocs men’s basketball team featured a pair of honorees on this year’s CSC Academic All-District squad following great success in the classroom.
CHATTANOOGA (March 25, 2025) --- Following success on the court and in the classroom, Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball senior Garrison Keeslar and sophomore Sean Cusano have been named to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team as the organization announced its annual honorees on Wednesday afternoon.

Keeslar, a Green, Ohio native, carried a 3.93 undergraduate GPA at his former institution (Walsh) before building perfect 4.0 GPA during his graduate studies at Chattanooga while pursuing a Master of Science – Management degree. Keeslar has appeared in all 35 games this season and leads NCAA Division I in assist-to-turnover ratio (5.25) entering the NIT quarterfinal round.
Cusano, a sophomore from Hilton Head, S.C., carries a 3.74 GPA during his undergraduate studies at Chattanooga while majoring in Health & Human Performance – Exercise Science. Cusano has played in 30 games this season (four starts) and has amassed nearly 150 points while surpassing 120 rebounds during Saturday's NIT Second Round win over Dayton.
Chattanooga (26-9) is set to face Bradley (28-8) in the NIT Quarterfinals tonight (Tuesday, March 25) inside the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois with tip-off set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 15, 2025 (men) and April 16, 2025 (women).
