Game Information
- Chattanooga started the SoCon Championships with a dominant 66-47 victory over Western Carolina…the No. 1 seeded Mocs are now 19-9 on the season, while the No. 8 Catamounts complete their season at 3-26.
- The Mocs are 68-22 all-time in the SoCon Tournament…27-11 in the first round/quarterfinals of the event all-time…4th straight year advancing to the semifinals.
- Won nine of the last 10 SoCon Tournament games.
- 91-13 all-time vs. Western Carolina…13-0 in the SoCon Tournament.
- Broke the game open with a 25-14 third period extending the lead to 22 (55-33) through 30 minutes…despite the dominant nature of the win, no Mocs scoring run was greater than 6-0 throughout the contest.
- Head Coach Deandra Schirmer picked up her 150th career win... 150-55 career record in seven seasons... 36-24 in two seasons at UTC.
 
Team Notes
- The double-digit win is the 11th of the season…8th against SoCon competition.
- Led for 38:05 of the 40 minutes…never trailed…the score was tied just twice after 0-0.
- Tournament record tying 13 3pt made…last done in 2008 by the Mocs against UNCG…season high…most for the Mocs since 14 in the 96-87 win over Georgia Southern on Dec. 20, 2020.
- Shot 46.4 percent (26-56) overall, 43.3 percent from 3pt range (13-30)…only shot three free throws making one…top 3pt percentage since 57.1 percent (12-21) in the Dec. 30 win over Southern Wesleyan.
- Limited Western to 38.3 percent shooting (18-47)…16th time this season holding an opponent below 40 percent from the field…limited Western to 35.3 percent (49-139) in the three meetings this season.
- Rebounding was even with 29 apiece…both squads had 12 offensive and 17 defensive.
- +8 turnover margin with 11 for the Mocs and 19 by Western…22-9 advantage in points off turnovers.
- 1.64 assist: turnover ratio (18/11).
