9/30/2026 3:07:00 PM | General
Cher performing at McKenzie Arena in 2004 is just one example of the renowned events to come to Chattanooga since the Roundhouse’s opening in 1982.
The Chattanooga Mocs take great pride in McKenzie Arena. The Roundhouse is renowned as one of the premier mid-major basketball venues in the nation thanks in part to the tremendous record of success for the men's and women's basketball programs, but also how the noise decibels from Mocs fans that reach atmospheric levels.
But the arena is not just a sports venue. It is also Chattanooga's home to premier events. From its opening in 1982 with the debut acts being Kenny Rogers and the Gatlin Brothers, the Scenic City's top draws have come through the Roundhouse.
