Houston Nichols enters his fifth season with the Mocs. He spent his first three years as an offensive quality control assistant with the offensive line and is now the offensive graduate assistant. During his tenure, UTC has produced All-Americans Jacob Revis, Corey Levin and Cole Strange (Fr.).Â

Nichols originally attended Trevecca Nazarene University as a member of the baseball team before transferring to Chattanooga. His two brothers, Jackson and Clayton, also played baseball at TNU.Â

A native of Nashville, Tenn., Nichols was a 2015 graduate of Christ Presbyterian Academy. He lettered four times in baseball and football winning state titles in both during his career. His twin sister, Caitlin, was a three-sport athlete at CPA capturing two state championships in basketball.Â

Nichols is the son of Dean and Connie. His father played football at Memphis. Nichols graduated with his bachelors degree in Secondary Education: History from UTC in May of 2019. He is now pursuing a Master's Degree in Secondary Education.Â
