Mocs Open Fall Play at MTSU

UTC takes part in the Dale Short Shootout this weekend.
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team opens fall action at the Dale Short Shootout sponsored by Jason's Deli at MTSU this weekend. Action takes place at the Adams Tennis Complex on Sept. 23-25 in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
The Mocs are competing against the host Blue Raiders, UAB and Austin Peay. The event is a scramble format without team scores. Live scoring is available for Friday's action against MTSU at 3:00 p.m. (E.D.T.). UTC plays at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
"We are excited about the opportunity to participate this weekend," stated head coach Carlos Garcia. "The team has been working very hard and pushing each other every day. I am looking forward to seeing how our guys compete against a tough field of Division 1 teams this weekend in Murfreesboro."
Making the trip are freshmen Simon Bustamante and Max Grobbelaar, sophomores Paul LaHue and Pablo Llebeili, juniors Austin Boaz and Michael Birnbaum and senior Derrick Brown.
