Mocs Score 6-1 Win Over UT Martin

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team scored a 6-1 win over UT Martin in Murfreesboro, Tenn., today. The Mocs improved to 6-4 overall while the Skyhawks dropped to 1-6.
UTC won two doubles matches and five of six singles at the Adams Tennis Complex at MTSU. Junior Emma Van Hee and sophomore Caroline Gibbens won at No. 1 doubles, followed by junior Bogdana Zaporozhets and freshman Jessie Young. Young and Zaporozhets moved to 8-2 as a doubles tandem in the spring.
Van Hee posted her third win in a row at No. 5, moving to 7-1 in the spring. Gibbens was in the singles lineup at No. 6 where she scored her second win in a dual match.
Young, Zaporozhets and freshman Callie Billman also won in singles play.
UTC is on the road next weekend, visiting Furman on Friday and Presbyterian on Saturday.
