Women’s Tennis Set for Big South/SoCon Shootout in Spartanburg

The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team and additional SoCon members will face off against Big South competition this weekend.
CHATTANOOGA (October 3, 2024) – The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team will join forces with a pair of Southern Conference programs and compete against three Big South programs this weekend at the Big South/SoCon Shootout held in Spartanburg, S.C., at Wofford's Reeves Tennis Center, Friday through Sunday.
Chattanooga will join host Wofford and fellow SoCon member Western Carolina in a three-day hidden dual event against three Big South members. The representatives from the Big South include Campbell, Longwood, Radford and Gardner-Webb.
"We are heading to an unusual Fall tournament. The SoCon vs. the Big South will be a fun event where three SoCon programs will play four Big South teams," said head coach Chad Camper.
"This team is coming together off the court and I'm looking forward to improving this weekend against some high-quality programs."

The event will feature both singles and doubles play with each program mixing in individuals from their respective conferences in various formats over the three days of competition. For example, the Mocs may compete against a Big South program in singles play while adding individual SoCon representatives to its lineup.
