Softball Hosts Motlow State Friday Afternoon

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga Mocs continue their fall schedule on Friday afternoon when they welcome Motlow State to Frost Stadium for a 3 p.m. first pitch. The contest marks Chattanooga's second fall exhibition date and gives fans another opportunity to see the Mocs under first-year head coach Donald Pickett.

Game Information
Opponent: Motlow State
Date: Friday, Oct. 2
Time: 3:00 p.m. ET

The matchup follows Chattanooga's fall-opening doubleheader against Chattanooga State and serves as the lone game before next week's annual Blue-Gold Series. Admission is free for all fall softball contests at Frost Stadium.

Friday's game provides another chance for the Mocs to evaluate a roster featuring a mix of returning veterans and newcomers as the program continues preparations for the 2027 spring season. Fall competition is designed to help establish roles throughout the lineup while allowing the coaching staff to assess pitching depth and defensive combinations against outside competition.

Following Friday's contest, Chattanooga will turn its attention to the Blue-Gold Series, scheduled for Oct. 7-9 at Frost Stadium.
