Women’s Golf Opens the Season in Ohio

Claire Roberts and the Chattanooga Mocs make their 2026-27 debut in Toledo for the Rocket Classic.
The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team gets the Annie Schmidt era started in Toledo, Ohio at the Rocket Classic. The Mocs are part of a collection of mid-major squads with all coming from the Ohio, Michigan and West Virginia alongside the "southern belles". Play begins with 36 holes on Monday before the final 18 holes on Tuesday at Highland Meadows Golf Club in suburban Sylvania.

- Just the second tournament in the state of Ohio for the program. The first? The 2008 NCAA East Regionals on the Scarlet Course in Columbus. The ladies advanced to the NCAA Championships with an eighth-place finish.
- Schmidt is just the second head coach to open a season in the 20th year of the program.
- Roberts is the second Canadian to play for the Mocs following Porsche Campbell (Vancouver).
- Jang is the first Californian on the roster. Carlson is the first from the Land of Lincoln.
