Mocs Post 5-2 Win at Kennesaw State

UTC hosts ETSU (14-1, 3-0 SoCon) on Friday at Noon at the Champions Club
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga wrapped up non-conference action with a 5-2 win at Kennesaw State this afternoon. The Mocs improve to 9-5 overall with today's victory.
UTC swept the doubles point for the fourth time this season. Seniors Kayla Jones and Kelsey Coots improved to 11-2 at No. 1 with their 6-3 win over Laura Hopton and Ashleigh De Wet. Their win clinched the point for the Mocs and gave them a 1-0 lead heading into singles action.
Jones kept the momentum going with a (6-3, 6-1) win over Hopton at No. 1. Jones moved to an impressive 8-2 mark at the top spot in spring singles.
Senior Katie Polk continued her outstanding spring with a (6-2, 6-0) win over Jessica Cantrell at No. 6. Polk improved to 8-0 in spring singles action with her win today.
Coots and senior Alison Storie also won in singles action today.
The Mocs are back home on Friday, March 25, for a big Southern Conference match at the Champions Club, hosting ETSU at Noon. The Bucs are currently 14-1 overall and 3-0 in league matches. Live scoring is available on the women's tennis schedule page on GoMocs.com.
