CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- University of Tennessee at Chattanooga head coach Andy Meyer has added several events to the 2021 Outdoor Track and Field slate beginning with the UAB Spring Invite this weekend.

"We are looking forward to getting another outdoor meet in this year," Meyer said. "The ladies have had a very nice training block which to improve upon the last meet at Clark. Several will be moving back into more comfortable events and we will be having kids do more specific type events t improve their natural events at the conference meet."

Friday afternoon, Mikah Charley and Kimbra Dunning will get the event started with the triple jump. Nicole Buehrle will lead four Mocs in the 1500 meter. Joining her will be Ashtyn Hagood, Faith Brown and Allie Potter.

The women's 5000 meter will get the track events started Saturday morning. Makenzie Jones, Lesley Green, Emma Russum and Hagood will compete at the longer distance. Charley is set to compete in the 100 and 400 meter hurdles.

In the sprints, Imani Bryant will run the 100 meter along with Kimbra Dunning and McKenzie Williamson. Bryant and Williamson will run the 200 meter. Carley Burt and Sydney Cansler are set to run the 400 meter in the early afternoon.

Brown, Buehrle, Rebekah Pass and Emmy Davis will follow the 100 meter dash with the 800 meter race and Charley's run in the 400 meter hurdles will follow.

It should be a very competitive meet," Meyer said. "We are certainly looking for some fast times and improving marks."
