Track Opens Indoor Season Saturday at Vulcan Invite

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- Chattanooga Track and Field opens the 2024 indoor season Saturday at the UAB Vulcan Invite at the Birmingham CrossPlex.

"We are excited to begin the indoor season at UAB," Mocs head coach Andy Meyer said. "This is a chance for us to work on our speed and begin to see where we are from a fitness perspective. All the ladies will be running one or two events down from their intended specialty. It is a great opportunity to get used to the indoor surface and the running strategy on the indoor track."

Maddie Wheatcroft, Sarah Unterholzner and Lexi Foley are entered into the 400 meter dash while Kathryn Vradenburgh and Brooke Tyll will join Wheatcroft in the 800 meter run.

Tyll, Lola Baker and Leah Boyd will compete in the Mile Run. Boyd will also run the 3000 meter along with Camden Morris and Andrea Ellis.

Chattanooga has two teams entered into the 4x400 meter relay. Newcomer Ava McGue will compete in the high jump as well as the long jump.
