Wayne Farmer was a two-time All-American guard and linebacker for the Mocs from 1960-63.  The hard-hitting defenseman was captain both his junior and senior seasons.  He made the 1962 Little All-American third team, following that up with first team recognition in 1963 and team MVP honors.  Farmer also competed on the wrestling team.  He won the SEIWA title at 190 pounds in 1962.  After graduation, he played three seasons (1964-66) for the Boston Patriots in the NFL.
