Chattanooga Football Postgame Quotes
Chattanooga at Presbyterian
Bailey Memorial Stadium – Clinton, S.C.

Head Coach Russ Huesman
On the play of the defense:
"We put them in a couple of bad situations, whether it was special teams or the offense with a couple of bad turnovers and they responded. We responded with a great stop and we responded with a touchdown, and that is what great defenses do. I am awful proud of them."
"They did a nice job. Toyvian Brand. Keionta Davis is a monster. We rushed the passer again today and he had no time to throw the football. I thought our linebacker play was good. It didn't look like they had anybody open."
On the play of the defensive line:
"We did the same thing last week too. Give Marcus West and Tony Brown unbelievable credit. They get them jacked up. They coach them correctly. They teach pass rush technique. Then give our guys credit because we have some good players in Josh Freeman. He doesn't get talked about enough with Keionta and Toyvian Brand. Taylor Reynolds is having a good year and Isaiah Mack is a ball player. You feel pretty good about where we are there."
On the play of the offense overall:
"We got really conservative in the second half. It was misting and raining, but give our guys credit. In the first half, we moved the ball great. We shot ourselves in the foot some.
"In the second half, it was just let's don't make mistakes. We got very conservative and that was on me. If it was up to (OC) Jeff (Durden) he would have just kept going and getting after it. I told them we are playing good enough defense and I don't want to give them one. The second half, offensively is on me."
"Give Presbyterian credit. Their defense is really good. For our guys to move the ball on the, not many have. Miami (Ohio) did not move the ball very well. For our guys to move the ball like that in the first half. If it had been one of those dry days, we could have just cut it loose and who knows what would have happened."
Toyvian Brand – Sr.-DL
"I commend Free (Josh Freeman) for getting up there…you know he's pretty short…he got up there knocked it down, right in my hands. I felt pressure so I kicked it in another gear."
Keionta Davis – Jr.-DL
"Everybody was on one page and knew what we wanted to do. We knew who we had to come play against. The coaches did a good job preparing us and everybody played as one."
Jacob Huesman – Sr.-QB
"I think we moved the ball pretty effectively. The guys up front did a great job moving the line of scrimmage. We just did a couple of things that killed some drives and made it tough on us. The yard total doesn't match the point total.
"That's what we needed, to kind of play the complete game team-wise. Obviously, we could have scored more points and helped out the defense. We played really well as a team. I'm proud of our guys."
