Mocs Hit the Road for Two Matches This Week

UTC travels to Alabama A&M on Thursday and Troy on Friday in non-conference action.
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team is on the road for two matches this week. The Mocs travel to Alabama A&M on Thursday and Troy on Friday in non-conference action.
First serve against the Bulldogs is set for 2:00 p.m. (E.S.T.) in Huntsville, Ala. Alabama A&M is currently looking for its first win after six matches in the spring.
This is the second meeting between the Mocs and the Bulldogs. UTC won the previous match, 6-1 on March 1, 2006, in Chattanooga.
UTC then travels to Troy, Ala., to face the Trojans at Noon on Friday, March 4. The Trojans are 3-9 in the spring against a tough schedule. Eight of their nine losses have come against teams ranked in the ITA, and they also have a win over No. 66 UT San Antonio.
The Mocs are currently 4-6 overall and 2-3 on the road. Junior Lucas Plesky leads the team with a 14-4 overall record. He is 3-3 at No. 1 in the spring and 3-0 at No. 2. Senior Nick Wingord has also reached double-digits in wins with an 11-6 singles record.
Wingord and freshman Pablo Llebeili have made a strong doubles tandem of late. They are 3-1 overall and have played in the second and third spots.
