CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's outdoor track and field team opens the season Sunday at the CAU Invitational in Atlanta.

"We are excited to have the opportunity to run at Clark Atlanta," Mocs head coach Andy Meyer said. "They have been very gracious in hosting us at the last minute. This will be our first outdoor meet this year."

Chattanooga's original schedule had cancellations as did Clark Atlanta's so the Panthers opted to host an event Sunday.

"We will be looking for our kids to improve upon their marks set during indoor season," Meyer said. "Some of the kids will be running events as "development races" for later in the year. Some of the other kids will be in races for the first time this year and looking begin their peak towards outdoor conference."
